Williamson County General Sessions DUI Court

Mission Statement

The mission of the Williamson County DUI Court is to enhance public safety through the reduction of DUI recidivism, thereby reducing the burden on community resources and fostering a healthier and safer life for the participants and their families by increasing treatment, supervision and accountability of the high risk impaired driver.

Who We Are

The Williamson County DUI Court is a “TEAM” concept involving the Courts, the District Attorney General’s Office, the Williamson County Bar, the Public Defender’s Office, the DUI Court Coordinator, the DUI Court Case Manager, the Williamson County Probation Office, Law Enforcement representatives and treatment clinicians who are licensed substance abuse professionals.

What Our Graduates are Saying About the Program:

“The life that I searched for through addiction was ultimately found through sobriety.”
“I never knew who I was as a person and never felt like I was good enough to deserve a good life.  I don’t feel that way at all any more.  I have pride and a strong feeling of self worth.”
“DUI Court has provided the structure, accountability, and support I so desperately needed to escape the bondage of addiction.”
“I can honestly say today that I can look in the mirror and like the person staring back at me.  That is something I couldn’t say a year ago.”
It Works!

Specialized DUI Courts are a proven method to effectively address community struggles with multiple offenders. Studies show that multiple DUI offenders who complete a DUI Court program are 19 times less likely to re-offend.
